I attended Long Beach State for my bachelors degree and also played Water Polo for the school. Sports have always been a big part of my life, and after playing for many years I decided to coach at a local high school in Huntington Beach. Once I started working with kids I knew I wanted to become a teacher and coach Water Polo at the high school level. I currently coach at Fountain Valley High School assisting with the Boys Water Polo program. I hope to teach Physical Education with my teaching credential and influence students to lead a healthy life and fit life.
Meeting the needs of diverse learners is something every teacher needs to be ready for. There can be so many different learning styles in the classroom, so the teacher needs to be able to customize their lesson plan accordingly. I believe that I will accomplish this by preparing myself as much as I can for each lesson, and have alternative assignments for students who may need a different approach to the material.
